Joomla template make look and feel of your Joomla website. Joomla template can make your joomla site more stylish. Templates are managed with the Template Manager, which is located on the site menu on the Back-end of your site.

First of all log into the administrator panel of your joomla website, Browse (http://localhost/sitename/administrator/ or www. example.com/administrator) now enter your details and
login to back-end.
Go to Extensions > Install/Uninstall

From Extension Manager you can install Joomla Plug-ins, Modules, Components, Templates and Languages.
There are three options:
• Upload Package File – you can select a package from your PC, upload and install it
• Install from Directory - enter the path where the package is located on your server or Cpanel
• Install from URL – You can install by URL. Just enter the url of your package.
Now choose the first method, Upload Package File
Select the Template from your PC and click the "Upload File & Install"

If you done all step perfectly now you’ll see a message that says “Install Template Success”

Now we have to change the default template. Go to Extensions > Template Manager
Click left Radio button of template that you want to make default, and then click Default.

Now click preview then you’ll see the new template of your site.
